For the younger levels, I enjoy teaching front and back floats because there are so many ways to make it fun and interesting. For the older levels, I like to teach whip kick because it is difficult to pick up but once students get it you can build off that and teach them even more skills. I love playing fetch with my dog Waylon. I played soccer for three years and basketball for two years for the CMU women's teams. I swam competitively for many years when I was younger.

I love to cook & bake, I enjoy camping, hiking and have recently taken up running.

My favorite part of instructing is watching the confidence grow in a new swimmer as they build skills that they were either too afraid to attempt or never believed they could accomplish! I enjoy working with people of all ages, from children learning how to float and blow bubbles to adults just starting on their swimming journey.
My favorite skills to instruct are floats as it is typically the first skill swimmers try completely unassisted, and seeing the confidence boost of doing something on their own is always special.
